Machine Assembly
Assembles mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for custom machines and automation equipment. Also involves working with mechanical design engineers, controls engineers, machining specialists and the shop manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists
- Uses hand tools and measurement systems to assemble parts, ensuring proper fastener torques are achieved, dimensional accuracy and critical assembly tolerances are maintained in final assembly, piping and electrical systems are properly positioned and secured, rotating shafts and machinery are aligned for minimum vibration and long life in service, proper clearances are maintained, etc.
- Prepares work to be completed by studying parts lists and gathering parts, tools and materials.
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
- Follow company procedures and directives
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Material handling equipment is available at all times.
- Regularly required to use hands for a variety of tasks.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
- Ability to walk, stand and sit, occasionally to climb, balance, stoop, kneel.
- Frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Good vision and eye / hand coordination.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime is on an as needed basis and at the direction of the Operations Supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements
· Minimum of (2) years assembling parts to engineering drawings
· High school degree or equivalent
· Driver’s License

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
