We are looking for a talented Machine Assembler Builder Apprenticewho is responsible for assembly of standard and manufactured parts into unique sub-assemblies or bench/floor erection of a complete unit.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to build unique custom designed machine details to blueprint specifications
- Drill and tap details for proper fit and function
- Prepare machines for shipment
- Material handling, moving and staging details for build
- Fit and adjust machine to close tolerance
- Maintain cleanliness of assemblies
- Utilize dial indicators and micrometers for final fit and alignment of assemblies
- Report any non-conformance or process change to the Supervisor
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment
- All other related duties as assigned
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job
- Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment
- Able to read and follow basic blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of shop mathematics
- Ability to use a computer
- The position is located in a mixed office and manufacturing environment and will involve hands-on work. Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity or sitting for long periods of time
- Ability to speak verbally, and read in English
- Ability to see with corrective lenses
- Ability to hear
- Ability to walk
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
- Ability to operate a forklift (Training provided)
- Ability to operate overhead crane (Training provided)
- Normal hazards related to working in an office environment, manufacturing, and testing environment
- Normal hazards related to road and air travel
