Required: CA Licensed Vocational Nurse BLS Intravenous therapy certification and blood withdrawal certification within six months of hire/transfer.
Preferred:Associates Degree in Nursing
Preferred:One to three years of outpatient clinic (i.e. rural Health Clinics or federally qualified
health centers) experience

Knowledge of state programs (Family Pact, Every Women Counts, Child Health and Disability Prevention, Vaccines for Children, etc.)
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate changes to staff and providers in a timely manner.

Responsible for overseeing day to day patient flow.
Routinely performs regulatory checks of facility in accordance with regulatory agencies (CMS, CDPH, Joint Commission, etc.).
Trains and mentors clinical staff on technical skills.
Coordinates and participates in care coordination tasks related to disease management, transitions of care, preventative care, follow up care, and other focused quality initiatives.
Verifies and signs off on Medical Assistant calculation for approved medications to be administered by Medical Assistant.
Receives critical lab values over the phone, notifies the provider immediately and follows up per provider instruction.
Orders medical supplies, medications, and vaccines from appropriate resources.
Assists/performs in procedures under the guidelines of the LVN Board for State of California and in compliance with Kaweah Health policy.
Maintains logs and generates reports as assigned (Q/A, Q/C & PI).
Administers medications as directed by the physician under the guidelines of the California State Board of Nursing and in compliance with Kaweah Health Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
