Job Title: Customer Service

Immediate Supervisor: Yard Manager | Yard Supervisor

Basic Function: Pull Walk-in Customer Orders

Compensation: Averages: $15 / hour (based on experience)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate in this role will be required to pull/pick products throughout our lumberyard and/or warehouses as either stock or special-order material. This particular candidate will interact professionally with our valued customers to service their needs by loading their vehicles with products they have purchased. This is a fast-paced position that may require forklift operations and working with others as a team. This position also includes assisting with unloading of trucks and restocking incoming products to designated areas, while maintaining a clean work environment. A quick learner who can think on their feet and resolve any issues that may arise with our customer-respect business mentality, serving as the voice and face of our company, and be an integral part to reinforcing our reputation for exceptional Customer Service.

Position Responsibilities:

• Help customers load and unload material throughout the yard
• Stock trim and materials as they come in from deliveries throughout the day
• Must be able to accurately check/verify loads against picking tickets or credit memos
• Must have good interpersonal skills to be able to communicate directly with customers
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Manual Loading and unloading up to 80+ lbs. consistently
• Forklift certification a plus but not required
• Building material knowledge, a plus but not required
• Perform other duties as designated by supervisor

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:

• Previous experience in the industry preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Must be able to work from 7am - 5 pm, M-F as dependent on volume
• Obey all company policies and procedures
• Must be able to pass random drug tests and background checks
• Must attend ALL safety meetings
• Be reliable and have a good positive attitude
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Building material knowledge, a plus but not required
• Must be able to work outdoors in any weather condition Physical Demands:
• Must pass drug test and background check.
