Supports IT Enterprise Operations Group with the expansion and administration of Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS.
Duties Include the following:
- Develop advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
- Participate with coordinating initiatives with IT support organizations and Microsoft.
- Assist in expanding the Azure footprint into the Azure Gov cloud.
- Assist with coordinating Azure training for staff on how to use specific Azure technologies/tools.
- Develop basic knowledge of Azure Monitoring and Security Center.
- Develop basic understanding and skills using Azure Sentinel.
- Develop knowledge of Azure best practices for defense in depth, least privileged access, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, shared responsibility, and zero trust model.
- Become knowledgeable of security protocols such as Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Express Route, Internet Security Protocol (IPSec), Secure Socket Layer (SSL), disk and data encryption methods.
- Develop knowledge in managing Azure subscriptions, administer the infrastructure, configure virtual networking, connect Azure and on-premises sites, manage network traffic, implement storage solutions, create and scale virtual machines, implement web apps and containers, back up and share data, and monitor your solution.
- Develop skills in use of PowerShell and the CLI for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of network configurations, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.
- Develop the ability to work under direction and supervision and provide timely completion of projects, making time for unplanned assignments and adapt to changing priorities
- Follow all SRNS safety and security procedures as well as IT Policy and Procedure
Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Engineering, or related courses; or 1 year post graduation.
