Nature & Purpose of Position
The Kat Klub Mechanic Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of bowling related equipment within the Kat Klub, troubleshooting lane issues, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting in creating mechanic scheduling rotations.

- In this role, you will assist with
- Performing Brunswick pinsetter preventative maintenance & part adjustment/replacement schedule
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and tools
- Responding to trouble calls and troubleshooting issues related to bowling, making repairs if necessary
- Recording trouble calls and maintaining pinsetter maintenance log
- Cleaning, oiling, and conditioning lanes when requested by KK Manager
- Cleaning and organizing the mechanics workroom
- Sweeping and mopping approaches daily
- Sweeping/Dusting gutters daily
- Performing general area housekeeping in Game Room
- Staffing KK events as the Mech on Call to include special openings, weekends, and holidays
- Enforcing all rules and regulations within the KatKlub
- Assisting at the Service Counter when requested
- Other duties as assigned by KK Manager or Assoc. Director
Other Requirements for the Position
- Currently enrolled in good standing at SHSU
- Work-study eligible preferred
- Professional etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to read, comprehend, and implement technical instructions
- Knowledge and skill in the use of hand tools
- Able to bend, squat, and flex repetitiously or for prolonged periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. repetitiously
- Ability to organize others and delegate tasks in the workplace
- Previous experience in the department or similar facility (i.e. bowling center) is helpful but not required
- Able to work and interact within a diverse environment
- Available to work 12-28 hours weekly with a set schedule, including nights and weekends
