Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanic with PMCS and repairs on heavy & medium duty trucks. (Willing to train)
- Safely operate automatic transmission Roll-off Haul truck and medium duty truck / equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving on routes
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and all CDL requirements
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays, accidents, or other issues that may arise
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and compliance
Experience:
- Minimum of [2] years of commercial driving experience
- Mechanical knowledge and hydraulics experience
- Vets are encouraged to apply
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Ability to safely operate different types of trucks, including those with specialized equipment
- Proficiency in load and unload procedures for various types of cargo
- Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatch, other team members, and customers - Mechanical knowledge is a huge plus
