Form of workRequired Education and Experience :Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. Prefer 1 year experience in an outpatient healthcare facility, but will accept new graduates.
Additional Requirements: Possess advance telephone skills as well as good organizational skills. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written). Assist office staff on an as needed basis with various LPN duties. Current CPR certification.
Essential Functions
Completes procedure scheduling process for the provider in a timely manner. Provides patient and family pre-procedure instructions as directed by physician.
Serves as the liaison between patient, office, and LSDC and LRMC to facilitate timely schedule of recommended procedures
Answers office phones during patient hours and relays messages appropriately to physician and other support staff.
Verifies requested consults and second opinions for all procedures as necessary; and obtains pre-certifications if necessary.
Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting information in patient's medical record.
Assist in patient flow on busy office days. This includes preparing charts and x-rays, "rooming" patients and turning rooms.
