Responsibilities
Enhabit is hiring an LPN Patient Services Scheduler / Office Coordinator to join our rapidly growing hospice team.
This is a NEW location and the right person for this role will be outgoing, have a positive attitude, and have exceptional multitasking skills. This position will provide administrative support to the Branch Director and scheduling patients to branch field clinicians.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to Branch Director
- Scheduling home visits for the field staff each day and assisting with the coordination of patient care
- Ensuring geographic scheduling to reduce drive time and to enhance staff satisfaction
- Accumulating admissions and intake information
- Communicating with physicians about orders and patient progress information
- Answer phone; screen calls, and route patient care calls appropriately.
- Serve as an extension of the corporate human resources department to provide key messaging to employees and maintain employee profiles within Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
- Assist with medical supply management and process accounts payable
The LPN will spend time in the field as well as in the office and will need to demonstrate willingness to do both when the need arises.
LOCATION: 1900 S. Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, Florida
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- Be an LPN/LVN licensed in the state in which he/she practices, with at least one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Have at least one year of home health or hospice experience as an LPN/LVN within the last 24 months and have a demonstrated understanding of staffing and scheduling requirements related to home care services.
- Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
- Previous experience in home health, hospice, or pediatrics is preferred.
- Must possess a passion for helping patients.
