Our unique family is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse to join us, becoming an integral part of our close-knit unit. Both parents are deeply involved in caring for our children, and we're always at home, ready to assist with any emerging needs. Operating seamlessly as a team, we emphasize a hands-in, hands-out approach to caregiving.
The primary focus of this role is dedicated care for our delightful 5-year-old who brings joy with his infectious smile. He loves to be silly, play jokes, and as a family of goofballs, we cherish laughter and savor our time together. While he excels in school for six hours a day, demonstrating remarkable intelligence, his verbal and physical limitations present challenges to clear communication.
Caring involves tasks such as performing GT flushes and administering medications every 1.5 hours/4 hours, oral feedings every 2 hours, transferring the patient in and out of equipment every 1/2 hours, daily walks, playing/pushing him at the park in a gait trainer, diaper changes, bathing, oral care, dressing, applying AFOs, and maintaining constant attention to prevent injury. We are an active family that enjoys frequent outings to the park, aquarium, zoo, grocery shopping together, and more.
