Porter/Lot Attendant - Just Added!

The Lot Attendant/Porter at Whaling City Auto Group is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership's lot and showroom. This individual will also assist with various customer service duties as needed. This is a full-time position in the auto industry located in New London, Connecticut.

Responsibilities:
- Keep the lot and showroom areas clean and well-organized at all times
- Move and park vehicles as directed by management or sales staff
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of vehicles on the lot
- Ensure all vehicles on the lot are properly displayed and have appropriate marketing materials
- Keep the service and waiting areas clean and tidy
- Manage key control system and track vehicle keys
- Support the sales team with customer deliveries and test drives
- Assist customers with general inquiries and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Handle customer shuttle and transportation services
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance, such as changing batteries or topping off fluids
- Follow all safety and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or automotive industry role is preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays if needed
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
