H.B. Emery Jr. SchoolMSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Long Term Substitute School Nurse (RN) to join the instructional staff at H.B. Emery Jr School in Limington, Maine, starting around February break. The School Nurse is a registered professional nurse certified with the Maine Department of Education working in MSAD 6. The School Nurse advances the well being, academic success, and lifelong achievement and health of students. School nursing services promote the health and safety of all students including a healthy environment, intervene with actual and potential health problems, provide case management, and collaborate with others to advocate for students. The successful candidate will provide services to students in special education classrooms.
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; a current license to practice professional nursing in Maine; Maine Department of Education certification with a #524 endorsement; experience as a professional registered nurse; current certification in Health Care Provider CPR/AED; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
