Bonny Eagle High SchoolMSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Long Term SubstituteSocial Studies Teacherto join the instructional staff at Bonny Eagle High School in Standish. The assignment will begin around January 1, 2024 for approximately 7 weeks. The successful candidate will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom; motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child; and respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; Maine Department of Education certification with a #020 endorsement; experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
Salaries and benefits may be found on the District website in the Agreement between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association.
