SalaryResponsibilities: - Review and analyze medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies - Conduct audits to identify coding errors and provide feedback for improvement - Stay updated on industry changes and attend training sessions as required - Maintain a high level of productivity while maintaining accuracy in coding Skills: - Proficient in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Familiarity with hospital or acute care settings - Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
