Responsibilities
- Primary focus of this role is to continuously strive for improvements through managing carriers to perform at their best level and meet KPI targets, analyze and report cost & quality trends, and seek improvement opportunities to deliver quality products to our customers on time at competitive transportation cost
- Responsible for overseeing the entire Logistics Transportation process
- Daily tender, OTP, OTD, Same day IOD management with constant communication with load planners and carriers to strive for excellence
- Manage & improve load planning performance
- Support bidding activities for transportation
- Taking on special ad-hoc projects to improve efficiency and service levels (ex: Multi-stops, Scheduled deliveries, Execution of new transport modes, etc)
- Negotiating with carriers on terms and conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years experience working with deep knowledge of transportation industry
- Prefer to have experience with load planners & carriers, truckload, LTL transportation management, and transportation contract review for terms & conditions experience
- Deeply analytic with strong quantitative skills and business acumen
- Bilingual in English and Korean preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word skills needed
- TMS, WMS, YMS, Tableau experience a plus
