SUMMARY
The Logistics Specialist II will be responsible for internal raw material and 3PL management tasks at the Cartersville Plant. This individual will organize, control, and monitor the logistics activities of the assigned cell and module's raw materials: Glass, Frame (Aluminum, Steel), Junction Box, Wire/Busbar, EVA/EPE/POE Sheet, Back sheet, etc. The individual will work in a cross-functional team environment within the 3PL service provider, supporting Hanwha Q CELLS entities, as well as other subsidiaries of Hanwha Group.
In 2024, this position will be relocated to Cartersville, GA. The current office in Atlanta, GA, is temporary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Raw material and 3PL operation for all warehousing.
Verify stock transferred orders' (STO) accuracy by analyzing the internal warehouse's raw material inventory.
Proceed with inventory accuracy control by computerizing real-life mismatch inventory management by identifying causes and warehouse movement.
Manage, monitor, and operate GR accuracy reports when moving at different locations (CY, external warehouse, internal warehouse, production line).
Managing internal and External warehouse FIFO by checking aging report's GR date and material classification by date.
Manage both raw material and finished goods inventory (SAP inventory and physical inventory matching)
Manage to achieve gains in productivity and cost-effectiveness while retaining good relations with 3PL.
Manage implementation of changes and adjustments in the logistics process in consultation with the relevant team and the 3PL. Monitor, identify, and implement improvement opportunities for cost and service.
Day-to-day monitoring of the activities by the 3PL regarding the processing of inventory receipts, storage, cycle counting, kitting, pick & pack, and deliveries for all products and related SAP transactions.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Analyze operations continuously and make necessary improvements to ensure operating efficiencies across all functions.
Maintaining Logistics master data.
Managing, monitoring, and reporting KPIs for the logistics team and 3PL.
Revise and establish operational procedures for overall logistics operation. (i.e. SOP)
Ensure good housekeeping practices, safety rules, and customer requirements are followed by 3PL.
Support and work closely with human resources and safety to plan, develop, and implement facility policies and goals.
Conduct weekly stock counting and promote usage within shell life at internal and external warehouses with 3PL.
Manage dangerous goods by conducting weekly stock counting and promoting usage within material shelf-life.
Pursue improvement for the inventory and logistics systems by giving updates and suggestions
Warehouse capacity planning for short and mid-term by working with/the Purchasing and Operation Planning Team.
Doing the evaluation and selection of new 3PLs.
Operate and manage on-site management by identifying and responding to operational issues related to raw materials.
Frequently communicate with internal stakeholders regarding logistics topics, especially in urgent situations concerning inventory quantity identification.
Attend weekly and monthly meetings with prepared reports.
Support and engage actively with teammates' related work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Management or related fields
Over 3 years of warehouse management-related experience
Strong knowledge of logistics, internal and external warehouse
Ability to travel overseas and domestic
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, professional team environment with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately and support project schedules and other deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in manufacturing industries, especially in renewable energy
Proficiency in Korean and English, both spoken and written
Excellent computer literacy with advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
CPIM, CSCP
Strong knowledge of SCM and logistics
Experience in high-volume and multi-site distribution with a solid understanding of
FMS, TMS/EPR systems are highly desired
