Position: DFS Route Planner

Who we are: We are the fastest-growing appliance delivery and installation company in the country and are seeking experienced, motivated professionals to join our team. We provide final mile logistics and service and have an opening for a result driven, customer centric Route Planner.

The purpose of this position is to ensure that customer orders / freight from the stores pick up and deliver on time, and that system accurately reflects status of all loads. To achieve this, Routing Planners must work with stores, Private Fleet Distribution Centers and drivers to ensure all parties are executing as desired and that each party is accountable for service failures. The Routing Planner manages the Private Fleet delivery process by planning and adjusting complex delivery routes to meet deliverables, maximize efficiency, and address delivery challenges. The position also manages the dispute resolution process, acting as a liaison between all stakeholders. Routing Planners must routinely think creatively to find solutions to problems and make recommendations based on routing and delivery expertise. Each planner is responsible for the network and has specific focus on regions. The Centralized Dispatch Team oversees 130,000+ loads per year and accountable for $100+ million in annual freight.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· 15% Collaboration - Leading cross-functional projects and participating in team strategy discussions

· 20% Dispute Resolution - Manages the dispute resolution process with customers by analyzing and exploring various solutions and making recommendations to stores or other business partners

· 65% Routing Planning & Problem Solving - Uses discretion and independent judgment to plan Private Fleet driver routes that will meet customer needs while maximizing efficiency Includes strategically planning up to 100 deliveries/day for various routes within an assigned region and adjusting routes to address various delivery challenges Involves complex decision-making in fast-paced environment The Routing Planner also makes recommendations for process changes that align with business goals

· Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

· Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in operations, routing, and/or dispatching.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field preferred.
• Excellent communication and time management skills desired; attention to detail and ability to analyze and process improve strongly preferred.
• Build Relationship: Establish trust and credibility with people over time, establishes rapport with people; has smooth working relationship with people inside and outside of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross- functional teams.
• Ability to negotiate, handle complex customer interactions, settle disputes, and resolve issues with both internal and external partners.
• Experience in Transportation and Logistics preferred.
• Experience in working drivers and commercial vehicles.
• Expertise in DOT regulations for commercial vehicles.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
