Responsibilities:
Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Responsible for carrier sourcing and development.
Regularly and accurately dispatches company controlled freight.
Effectively negotiates freight rates with both potential and current customers.
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
Confirms and verifies rates prior to dispatching any freight.
Responsible for verifying carriers are approved and meet all internal/external requirements.
Acts as liaison for solving driver and carrier issues.
Responsible for maintaining carrier and customer base.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced environment.
May be required to work either 2nd or 3rd shifts.
Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time. Requires sitting, bending.
Uses office equipment and machinery effectively.
Requires normal finger dexterity for keyboarding.
Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
Lifting requirements of 50 lbs. occasionally.
Minimal travel <10%
