The selected candidate will fulfill the role of Logistics Coordinator working on-site. Performs Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities. Plans, schedules, coordinates and estimate complex tasks associated with products or services. Develops/ensures requirements and implementation strategies comply with logistics directives and supportability parameters. Performs and coordinates detailed analysis to ensure integration support considerations into the planning and/or design process. Evaluates deliverables for adequacy. Supports development of logistics acquisition milestone requirements. Manages subcontractor installation bill of materials deliveries, price quotes, lead times, etc.
Responsibilities:- Provides management, customers, and subcontractors with basic logistics technology and information that ensures effective and economical support for products, service, equipment, and systems.
- Coordinates vendor data
- Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors.
- Determines contingency requirements and solutions.
- Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
- Verify purchase requisitions with Project Manager to clarifying unclear or unavailable item
- Provides regular reporting to management on logistics issues.
- Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that document logistic practices.
- Monitor and ensure shipments are confirmed picked up and delivered as scheduled
- Monitor carrier performance and report delivery failures
- Maintain productive working relationships with customer representatives, subcontractors and By Light employees
- Maintain and manage accurate records and submit them in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as required by business needs or as assigned
- High School Diploma (required)
- At least 3-5 years relevant experience
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Related industry experience in information technology or engineering (desired)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Active Secret Clearance
