The Warehouse Attendant actively participates in the shipping and receiving process, which involves unloading trucks, inspecting incoming inventory, matching purchase orders to bills of lading, and efficiently distributing both inventory and non-inventory items as needed. The Warehouse Attendant reads requisitions and shipping orders to determine the items to be moved, gathered, and dispatched, all while meticulously filling requisitions for various items and ensuring they reach the requesting departments. This role is vital in maintaining the warehouse’s accessibility, cleanliness, organization, and safe operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking-in inventory, matching purchase orders to bills of lading, and distributing inventory and non-inventory items accordingly.
- Read requisitions and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and shipped.
- Fill requisitions for inventory and non-inventory items and distribute items to requesting departments.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible, clean, organized, and operating in a safe and efficient manner; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Maintain proper storage of inventory merchandise to avoid spills or spoilage; rotates stock according to schedule.
- Prepare and ensure parcels are processed for mailing or shipping.
- Perform physical inventory as scheduled, or via request.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent with six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, and Word).
- Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
- The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50lbs.
- Must qualify for a license with the Maryland State Lottery Agency and meet any credentialling requirements of the Maryland Gaming Control Board
