Summary: The Shipper/Receiver Coordinator reports to the shipping department supervisor and works under minimal direction of the department lead person. Must be able to follow verbal instructions in English and function in a team-oriented, continuously improving environment where safety is the number one priority. Unloads, receives, and stores merchandise. Verified and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties:
Job Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weigh, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Operates forklift truck or uses hand truck to move, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Use computer or handheld computer devices.
- Pick/packs and assembles customer small parcel and truck orders.
- Scans bar codes with scanner for verification of items, quantity and location of goods that are pulled.
- Inputs and verifies correct shipping data.
- Documents orders to account for all items and quantities packed and shipped.
- Package orders to fit customer specifications.
- Places completed documentation in designated location.

- High School/ GED or better
- Organizational, communication and basic computer skills.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in escalation scenarios.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as shipping charges, weight and inventory counts.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The position requires the employee to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
