The primary purpose of the Drayage Logistics Coordinator position is to manage drayage and Intermodal shipments, shipper and carrier communication, problem-solving and order management. The position requires working with drayage shipments, communicating with ship lines and rail yards, and ability to multi task under pressure.

What the Drayage Logistics Coordinatorwill do:

• Key accountabilities will include:
• Daily management and coordination of shipments with both shippers and carriers
• Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments'
• Source carriers and negotiate rates
• Track and trace all shipments and load status
• Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution
• Responsible for cost containment of shipment
• Manage shipper and carrier relationships
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Drayage Logistics Coordinator Requirements

The ideal Drayage Logistics Coordinator candidate should possess the following:

• Degree preferred but will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Works well under pressure and stress
• Team player with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High energy and performance level
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Critical, time sensitive decision making that impacts contractual agreement
• This is a non-asset based transportation company; drivers need not apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
