The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for preparing shipping documentation for daily shipments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare shipping documentation for daily shipments
- Expedite shipments to meet customer’s needs
- Assist with day to day functions of the Henny Penny Freight Program
- Work with carriers to ensure timely pickup of outbound shipments Coordinate delivery with end-users for specified strategic accounts
- Provide accurate freight quotes Coordinate daily shipping information between the Customer Services Team, Parts Department, and Shipping Resolve issues with shipments in transit
- Draft internal communications that are professional and tailored to the audience
- Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
What You Need for This Position
- Associate degree in business preferred
- Minimum 1-year of experience in logistics or related field
- Prior experience in a customer facing role
- Basic knowledge of ERP system
- Proficient in MS Office with the ability to learn new software including basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, One Note
- Ability to use discretion and sound judgement to make decisions
- Strong organizational skills including strict attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and to various audiences
- Proven oral and written communication skills including the ability to customize communication to fit audiences and effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Proven success assimilating and applying, in a timely manner, new job-related information that may vary in detail and complexity
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with other departments
- Ability to adjust schedules as priorities and tasks change
- Ability to effectively handle stressful situations with diplomacy and tact
- Willing to drive to our Englewood facility daily
