Responsibilities
Arrange, schedule, and coordinate the import and export of goods via ocean, air, road, and rail carriers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and/or review all necessary documentation for customs clearance and international transportation, including but not limited to commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. Ensure compliance with all applicable customs regulations, trade laws, and international shipping requirements to prevent delays or penalties.
Freight Management: Obtain and negotiate freight quotes from various carriers and vendors, seeking the most cost-effective and efficient transportation solutions. Select appropriate carriers based on factors such as cost, transit time, and reliability, considering the specific needs of each shipment.
Customer Communication: Communicate regularly with clients to provide shipment status updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the shipping process.
Freight Tracking and Risk Management: Monitor and track shipments throughout their journey to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address any potential delays or disruptions. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with transportation, including insurance coverage, and handling special cargo requirements.
Financial Management: Ensure all payables are checked, verified, and settled on time. Monitor and ensure all receivables are settled on time. Assist in dispute resolution and/or settlements in conjunction with R&R Global Management and provide guidance throughout the process.
Qualifications
· Experience in the transportation and logistics industry
· Experience in brokering freight in Truckload Transportation (prefer 2+ years)
· Know how to analyze freight markets
· Experience with TMS and EDI systems
· Ability to multi-task
· Have excellent organizational skills
· Able to effectively communicate
· Know how to use loadboards (Truckstop and DAT)
· Proficient in MS Word and Excel
· College degree
· Native English and Mandarin Fluency
