Responsibilities:
- Search for tracking numbers on freight carriers? website
- Quote shipments using simple online tools
- Run a basic freight in transit (FIT) report based on tracking updates
- Enter freight forwarder information into a database
- Assist with monthly reporting requirements
- Provide shipment proof of delivery to customer service and accounting
- Respond to Harmonized Tariff Code email questions
- Follow up on shipment errors and damages
- Book upcoming shipments with correct route and mode
- Schedule container deliveries and maintain a container utilization report based on weight/volume
- Other duties as assigned
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Broker Import & Export experience highly preferred
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of Logistics experience
- Knowledge of purchasing and logistics processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of MS Office applications with the ability to create reports and presentations
- Experience working with an ERP and Transportation Management Systems
- Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize
- Capable of following oral and written instructions
- Ability to multitask
- Ability meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
