We are growing & looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will lead our Logistics & Transportation Team. This person will focus will be on improving transportation expense and service quality. This role is a key role and is the primary person who effectively creates value between the company and carrier relationships. Must be motivated and eager to solve complex problems in an ever-changing environment, with a focus on process optimization, data and technology.

The Logistics Coordinator will analyze large data sets and present key findings and recommendations to drive business decisions. To be successful in this role, the specialist will foster strong internal & external relationships and have ability to collaborate with team members and manage supplier relations. Must possess strong communication skills and be able to present findings to upper management.

Location

Remote from Dallas or Phoenix. ThriftBooks Logistics team is mostly located in Seattle so if you're interested in working in an office atmosphere, that's where you'll want to be.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate FTL and LTL, inbound and outbound loads, with transportations companies
• Track and follow through on every load
• Serve as a liaison between the supplier, carrier, and warehouse
• Communicate ETAs and status of loads to Warehouse Management and Account Managers
• Quickly and proactively resolve problems that may develop while a load is in transit
• Aggressively and continually negotiate for the best tracking and shipping rates possible
• Maintain electronic records of all communication and rate information
• Keep Account Managers informed on current trucking and shipping sources
• Accurately records correct rate for each shipment and maintains up-to-date information Coordinate delivery of supplies for warehouse and external partners
• Manage & audit invoice processing
• Manage offsite storage for inventory overflow
• Oversee and grow our FTL & LTL freight network
• Accurately handle all documents associated with international shipments
• Hold freight partners to expected levels of service
• Support and troubleshoot transportation partner accounts
• Research and communicate industry trends
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience working in e-commerce logistics/transportation/shipping/supply chain operations
• Experience in analyzing and managing transportation processes and freight movements to multiple facilities
• Experience in the use and application of software and automation technologies used in the industry

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of mail routing, e-commerce, freight & parcel
• Proficient in excel and data analysis
• SQL code creation/writing preferred
• Proficient in Transportation Analytics tools/concepts
• Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to senior leadership to include CEO/President
