Position Summary:

The Inventory Purchasing Coordinator performs various aspects of purchasing for the company and is responsible for managing the inventory, distribution, and control of those items for all Super Star locations. This position will ensure every location has the products, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to operate efficiently and adjust for seasonal trends. The Coordinator will maintain vendor reports, evaluate and escalate issues appropriately, assist in the preparation of all data reports from our purchasing system and resolving internal and external purchasing issues that arise. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Purchasing Manager providing support to all product research programs and assist to obtain all required approvals and accurately maintain all spreadsheets
  • Evaluate all purchase orders to ensure order accuracy
  • Maintain and track all receipts from multiple locations
  • Design, develop, and implement all purchasing and inventory processes
  • Setup and maintain accuracy of all vendor data and records in the inventory system
  • Develop vendor relationships
  • Negotiate and execute purchase orders and vendor contracts
  • Report to management about vendor/supplier relationships and performance
  • Adhere to purchasing policies and ensuring that all purchases adhere to policy
  • Accounting and reporting of inventory
  • Reconcile inventory monthly
  • Manage and monitor weekly inventory levels
  • Manage warehouse inventory controls
  • Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained to the optimum level to support multiple locations
  • Track the transportation and distribution of inventory when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED – Associate’s degree or higher, preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures
  • Basic knowledge of business principles, processes, and office protocol
  • Experience with purchasing and inventory control management
  • Knowledge of inventory control software
  • Familiarity using Samsung tablets/devices for inventory/ordering, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Business Central/NAV, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Familiarity with GAAP
  • Clean driving record
