Job Title:Logistics Associate
Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000 per year
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: 865 N. Albion St. Denver, CO 80220 (On-site)
Position Objective:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Associate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our logistics operations by assisting with various tasks, including but not limited to creating and closing purchase orders, managing inventory receipts, and facilitating accounts payable/invoicing processes. The Logistics Associate will work closely with our accounting team to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our supply chain.
Essential Functions
Purchase Order Management (20%):
- Collaborate with team members to create purchase orders based on inventory needs and supply requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including item descriptions, quantities, and pricing.
- Monitor and track the status of purchase orders to ensure timely receipt and fulfillment of goods.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate delivery schedules.
- Close purchase orders upon receipt of goods, verifying quantities and quality of items received.
Inventory Receipts (20%):
- Assist in the receipt and inspection of incoming inventory.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Ensure proper documentation and labeling of received inventory, including serial numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
Accounts Payable/Invoicing Support (20%):
- Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and match them with corresponding purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Assist in coding invoices and entering them into the accounts payable system for processing.
- Communicate with vendors regarding any discrepancies or billing issues, facilitating prompt resolution.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors in accordance with payment terms and company policies.
Record Keeping and Documentation (20%):
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistical transactions and activities, including purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments.
- Organize and file documents in electronic or physical filing systems for easy retrieval and reference.
- Generate reports and summaries as needed to provide visibility into logistical operations and performance metrics.
Communication and Collaboration (15%):
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, warehouse, and finance teams, to coordinate logistics activities and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and deliveries.
- Act as a point of contact for inquiries related to logistics processes and procedures, providing timely and accurate information as needed.
Process Improvement (5%):
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the logistics function.
- Make recommendations for enhancements to systems, procedures, and workflows to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams or projects aimed at implementing process improvements and best practices.

Education and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in a logistics or supply chain role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Familiarity with COVA, Metrc, and Sage X3 systems is desirable.
Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)
- Monday – Friday (8 am - 5 pm) standard in office hours, nights as needed
