Job Overview
The role of Logistician 2 involves material management tasks and procedures and provides support for the Capability-Based In-Service Engineering Activity (CB-ISEA) and Non-CB-ISEA projects. This requires close coordination with multiple Project Leads, Subject Matter Experts, Warehouse personnel, and access to several website portals (both Navy and NIWC). This position will work out of the Chesapeake/Portsmouth, VA area.

Job Overview

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Manage material per the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance requirements. Achieved using the command-approved online database Configuration Management Professional (CMPro). Access to One Touch System (OTS), and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) access.
- Work directly with each Project Lead, Lab Manager or SME to manage material for the respective projects. This includes material in direct support of laboratories, material in production, material stored in the command warehouse, and material that requires shipping.
- Submit required documentation to support service and material procurements.
- Submit requisition invoice and shipping documents (DD-1149s).
- CMPro Issue Reports (C-IRs).
- Receipt, Gain, Issue, and Transfer project material in CMPro as directed.
- Material Request Forms (MRFs).
- Transportation Movement Requests (TMRs).
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Must be working towards Professional Logistics Certification - i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional one (1) year working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
- Three (3) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.
- One (1) year of experience in support of C4ISR systems.
- Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, and Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Security: Public Trust.
- Valid state driver's license.
