SUMMARY

A Loan Specialist Lead assists the Managing Director of Credit Administration as well as manages the Loan/Credit Specialists in the Loan Operations Department ensuring compliance with the Bank's loan policy and all regulatory requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises, trains, mentors, recognizes, disciplines, and provides direction to Loan/Credit Specialists.
• Approves time and PTO requests for Loan/Credit Specialists in Paylocity.
• Prepares annual performance reviews for Loan/Credit Specialists.
• Processes loan documents as new loans are booked on core system.
• Reviews loan documentation.
• Processes audit and reports as needed.
• Works with other institutions and departments as it applies to Credit Administration duties.
• Assists lenders and loan processors as needed as it applies to Credit Administration duties.
• Creates, monitors, and maintains exception tracking program.
• Files UCC and real estate mortgages.
• Processes advances and payments as requested by lender or borrower.
• Handles exceptions:
  • Reviews report.
  • Requests updated information from customer and/or lender.
  • Submits to Credit Specialists for removal.
• Performs research as requested by management.
• Performance of all job duties and responsibilities by being physically present at the Bank an average of 40 hours each week based on business needs.
• Other responsibilities as requested and assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields (preferred).
• 5-10 years of bank experience, preferably in credit administration.
• 3-5 years of bank management experience.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of credit administration.
• Strong time management skills to meet all deadlines.
• Communication Proficiency.
• Problem Solving/Analysis.
• Mathematical and analytical skills with accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Adaptability as well as ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
