If this sounds like a good fit to you, we are seeking applicants for a Case Aide - Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR) to join our Coeur d'Alene field office on our Child Welfare team. 

General Information: 

  • The PSR Case Aide position requires a bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, education, or healthcare from a nationally accredited university or college. 
  • The PSR Case Aide must be able to work autonomously and within teams while gaining extensive knowledge of Child and Family Services activities, programs, and policies. 
  • The PSR Case Aide must display reliability, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, effective business writing skills, a high level of professionalism, and an exceptional ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks. 
  • Punctuality and dependability are key for this position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Child Well-Being Support:

  • Tracks child medical appointments and coordinates follow-up services for vision, dental, medical, and medication care.
  • Collects medical records and uploads to electronic file system.
  • Completes, submits, and tracks residential admissions paperwork, to include Medicaid process.
  • Makes referrals to Idaho Infant Toddler Program, per Standard guidance.
  • Completes formal referrals for mental health services.
  • Assists with coordination of school transportation for foster youth.
  • Administers Independent Living assessment tool and make Independent Living referrals.
  • Coordinates parent participation in child routines and activities.

Concurrent Planning Support:

  • Organizes family team meetings and coordinates follow-up tasks.
  • Completes Child and Family Social and Medical Information Forms, to include paternity identification and assists with process establishment; Tribal identification and assists with sending Tribal notices; and identifies relative supports and assists with making relative locate referrals.
  • Completes outgoing Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) applications.
  • Coordinates parent/child visits.
  • Coordinates and tracks compliance with appropriate child court notifications.
  • Completes collateral contacts with service providers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.

  • Good knowledge of human services principles and practices to include: behavioral management methods, social and family systems, human growth and development, case management methods. Typically gained by a Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, education, or healthcare from a nationally accredited university or college. Must have included at least 21 semester credit hours in human services fields such as psychology, social work, special education, counseling, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
  • Computer literacy for data entry, electronic mail, composing reports and letters, and storing and retrieving documents.
  • A valid driver's license.
