Position Summary: Responsible for functions related to Loan Servicing from loan origination through loan payoff, including but not limited to file management, loan maintenance, flood insurance processes, file indexing, safekeeping and tracking of stock or brokerage accounts.
- Perform maintenance on the core system including booking new loans/lines/letters of credit; updating modifications, renewals, conversions for commercial and consumer loans.
- Prepare payoff quotes and credit verification of requests.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers concerning loan questions.
- Process payments/advances.
- Participate in the review of department staff work using the dual control model to reduce risk of errors and fraud.
- Assist with product and process mapping and mergers as needed.
- Contribute to participation servicing.
- Assist other areas of loan operations as needed.
- Perform other such duties as assigned.
- Backup for flood insurance tracking and monitoring to ensure bank’s compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act and internal bank procedures.
- Stay current in knowledge of software, bank products, rates and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous loan operations experience
- In-depth knowledge of loan products, federal lending regulations, and documentation required by bank policy and state and federal regulations
- High level of detail orientation
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- High degree of organization and time management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively under stress with high work volume and tight deadlines
- Professional and effective verbal and written communications
- Proficient with MS Office products and departmental systems
