Come join us at Corporate HQ for Summer 2024! Our Live Operations Accounting Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 10 - 12 week period. Come experience an inside look in the world of Finance and Accounting, CPG and Food Production.

What You Will Learn & Main Responsibilities
- Attend annual facility audits (feed mills & hatcheries) and prepare associated audit reports
- Assist with defining governance procedures as related to new USDA Transparency Act
- Assist with development new weekly and monthly reporting processes to support recent organizational changes
- Help with month-end closing as needed in the Live Production Accounting areas
- Redefine budgeting processes utilizing available technology and ensuring room for future growth
- Streamline and document weekly settlement and monthly closing processes including archival procedures
- Reconciling and remediating issues in outstanding AR and AP accounts for vendors and farmers
Minimum Education
- Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study. Finance, Accounting, Data Science or Agricultural Economics majors preferred.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher
Experience Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software
- Possess strong analytical, communication and time management skills
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
Experience Preferred
- 3.25 GPA or higher is highly preferred
- Strongly prefer a rising Junior or Senior who has completed at least 2 college-level finance/accounting courses
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
