This is a live-in position for an individual who is passionate and dedicated to house managing, housekeeping and who also enjoys animals. Whennothousekeeping,youmay be asked to watch the dog and cat in the primary residence and also watch them when the Principles are away.The House Manager and Pet Sitter reports directly to the Principles. The role is the House Manager and daily housekeeper for the main residence and, less frequently, for associated guest homes. You will also supervise and assist twice-weekly deep cleans by additional housekeeping staff. Importantly, you will provide pet sitting services and work alongside the Pet, Animal, and Garden Manager. When the Principles are away, and particularly during long absences, you will be residing within the Estate to provide companionship and oversight of the pets.Working days may include weekends although the typical daytime schedule will be Monday-Friday from 7am to 4pm. You will need to show reasonable flexibility with the schedule. The Principles travel extensively, are off site at least 200 days a year, and make frequent weekend trips to their secondary residence. It is expected that both the Garden Manager and you, working together, will be able to maintain a schedule not exceeding 5 days a week (not including overnight stays). Additionally, the nature of animal care, scheduling needs, and any pet emergency needs may require more days or longer working hours in a week.Housekeeping and management duties include but are not limited to: daily turnarounds of the kitchen, dining space, and fireplace, maintaining the home's general cleanliness, managing vendors, organizing and assisting (as needed) a deep clean of the house twice a week. Other duties include attending Monday and Friday morning staff meetings, making town runs, shopping, mail sorting, package delivery and pickup. Pet duties include but are not limited to: daily walks, assisting with routine care records, inventory, keeping pets engaged, active, and well groomed, maintaining a sanitary pet environment, assisting with vet appointments, administering pet medications as needed, and reporting any visible issues with the tropical fish tank.

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000+ DOE
