We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Associate to join our legal team. As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the litigation process, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of complex and challenging cases in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
```Duties```
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other relevant resources
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist with case management and trial preparation
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings
- Participate in settlement negotiations
- Conduct factual investigations and gather evidence
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to litigation practice
```Qualifications```
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the NYS bar
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Experience with Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other legal research tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills
- Prior experience in litigation preferred
