We are currently seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our client’s distinguished boutique law firm which specializes in business bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation. Our clients firm is based in New York City (Midtown Manhattan) and is comprised of a team of experienced and highly accomplished Attorneys. We particularly welcome applications from dynamic, proactive, and aggressive legal professionals who are ready to contribute their expertise to our clients thriving practice.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of litigation matters including breach of contract, fraud, real estate disputes, and bankruptcy cases.
- Demonstrate proficiency in defending commercial cases and navigating mediation processes.
- Independently manage caseloads from inception to resolution.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Display a proactive, go-getter attitude towards legal challenges.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree (JD)
- New York State Bar Admission (mandatory)
- New Jersey State Bar Admission (nice to have)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in litigation, with a strong preference for candidates from established firms.
- Proficiency in breach of contract, fraud, and real estate litigation.
- Familiarity with bankruptcy proceedings is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of how to defend commercial cases.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Strong mediation skills and experience are desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
