Linux And Cloud Engineer

The responsibilities of Linux and Cloud Engineerinclude the following:

• Ensuring effective daily operations of company’s Linux based systems.
• Experience with running virtualized Linux based systems within a VMware environment.
• Knowledge and experience with VMware’s Tanzu platform
• In accordance with change management policy, make changes to system software and hardware so that performance meets company’s objectives and maintain SLA’s.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining anti-virus for Linux based systems like RPM, DEB, etc.
• Experience in patching and maintaining Linux based systems.
• Manage and apply necessary system security access.
• Analyze performance indicators to ensure that systems are operating efficiently.
• Advance knowledge of Linux based server’s and associated products.
• Build and maintain Linux based servers and associated applications in a highly available, scalable, and secure environment.
• Basic knowledge of DNS/SAN/WAN/LAN networking
• Experience working with Azure, AWS, and other cloud-based platforms.
• Provide support, troubleshooting, and design of our cloud environment.
• Experience with Tomcat and Apache
• Exposure and experience with cloud-based platforms as an extension of the Linux based server environment.
• Perform root cause analysis for Linux based servers.
• Team player and ability to work well with others.
• Experience working in the Healthcare Industry will be an added advantage.
• After hours and weekend work at times required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum 10 years experince Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer related field or similar technical field from an accredited institution required. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of degree, with a Minimum of 10 years of Systems Administration experience and Linux/Azure/AWS/Cloud Certification preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,978.58 - $114,382.80 per year
