Duties:
- Provide Personal Care assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions and maintain accurate medication records.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment as necessary.
- Support individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.
- Promote independence and resident rights while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist the client by transporting the client to appointments or medical appointments as well as local grocery stores as needed for home care provisions
Requirements:
- Registered vehicles and driver licenses that is up-to-date
- Previous experience as a personal assistant or caregiver preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and ability to follow prescribed instructions accurately.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them in all aspects of care.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely using proper techniques and assistive devices as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of assisted living systems and procedures is a plus.
