Cognizant has an immediate opening for a Linux Administrator withredhat, ubuntu - build/management of physical and virtual linux servers and who have worked on openstack clusters.. if your background meets the requirements and skills listed below, this could be the ideal opportunity for you!
Location : Remote .
Required Skills :
- Installs, configures, and manages VMware vSphere components (ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, vSAN, etc.).
- Manages Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines using Hyper-V Manager or System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
- Installs, configures, and manages Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).
- Implements Group policies and other security measures.
- Troubleshoots Active Directory issues and performs necessary maintenance.
- Configures and manages storage for virtual environments, including SAN, NAS, and vSAN.
- Allocates and provisions storage resources to virtual machines as needed.
- Monitors storage performance and troubleshoots storage-related issues.
- Configures and manages virtual networks, including VLANs, virtual switches, and port groups.
- Troubleshoots network connectivity issues within virtual environments.
- Install, configure and manager Cisco UCS environment.
- Develops and tests disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Applies patches and updates to VMware, Hyper-V, and Windows Server systems.
- Hardens virtual machines and hypervisors to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoots issues with virtual machines, hypervisors, storage, networking, and Active Directory.
- Participates in virtualization projects, such as migrations and upgrades.
- Plans and executes project tasks according to timelines and budgets.
- Communicates effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborates with others to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Colorado and remote postings that could be performed in Colorado. The Applications will be accepted until 4/05/2024.
The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 to $125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
