We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at our busy restaurant. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various menu items. Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with menu planning and catering preparations as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary
