Overview:
Trouvaille is a New-American restaurant in the heart of Richmond's Fan district, opening in April 2024. We are seeking talented and experienced industry professionals to join our team in the kitchen. Collaboration is extremely important in this kitchen; as a member of the staff, you will be working alongside the chef/owner in all aspects of our food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and skilled chef to showcase their culinary expertise and lead a successful restaurant.
Duties:
- Plan and create innovative menus that change with the season
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with attention to detail and presentation
- Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources
- Oversee food service management, including ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Experience:
- 3 Years in a similar setting is recommended but willing to teach the right candidates
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and culinary trends
- Demonstrated ability to create unique and appealing menus that satisfy customer preferences
- Experience in kitchen management, including staff supervision, inventory control, and cost management is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, vendors, and customers
