What you’ll do

The Billing & Payment Configuration System Specialist will be responsible for assisting with new business set up, renewal updates and day to day maintenance of data within the Healthware System required to provide administrative services including enrollment, billing, reporting, coordination of vendor remittance and claim payment process.


In this role, you’ll also:

  • Manage installation of new business as well as renewal process and changes for in force business
  • Group Master Set Up
  • Checking Account Set up
  • Group / Department Set Up Including Mapping for Fulfillment Vendors, Networks and PBMs
  • Reinsurance Contract Set up
  • Billing Plan Set Up
  • Research and resolve eligibility, billing and provider remittance questions and situations
  • Prepare benefit plan and bill plan cross reference and set up information for Enrollment Department, various IT inbound and outbound files, and ID card issuance
  • Prepare management and client reports as needed
  • Perform other various tasks that are deemed necessary and equitable by the Manager


What you bring

  • Associates Degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years of client configuration experience preferred
  • Proficiency in problem analysis and resolution
  • Proficiency in data entry
  • Ability to anticipate and understand systems interactions
  • Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of the team
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task efficiently and accurately
  • Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel or similar PC based programs
