Essential Functions:

To prevent accidents and injury while supplying rescue and emergency care when needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Recognize hazardous or potentially hazardous situations, and summon the appropriate personnel for assistance
• Greet and assist all guest in a helpful and courteous manner
• Enforce posted rules
• Prevent accidents by correctly managing guests, enforcing rules and scanning the designated area
• Provide emergency and rescue care
• Assist with rescue and law enforcement agencies as needed
• Legibly complete rescue reports at the end of scheduled shift
• Respond to accidents promptly in a calm, professional manner
• Follow all “universal precaution” procedures
• Responsible for following all Island policies and procedures as outlined in park manuals
• Comply with all Island Waterpark dress codes and grooming standards
• Responsible for maintaining an honest work environment, which includes reporting theft and dishonesty
• Perform all opening and closing duties as outlined by department manager/supervisor
• Keep work area clean and well organized
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must hold certification from an Island Waterpark approved organization

General Qualifications:

• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• May be required to be exposed to direct sunlight and hot temperatures
• Must be able to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-pace environment
• Must be able to work well with others
• Must be able to communicate effectively
