Open until filledUnder general supervision of assigned supervisory or management staff, provides pool supervision of various levels of classes; oversees lifeguards and water safety instructor swim instruction staff; and trains and certifies new staff in areas of pool lifeguarding and water safety instruction.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.Trains and certifies/re-certifies staff in pool lifeguarding as needed. Evaluates swimming abilities of all students to avoid unsafe conditions.Explains and enforces pool rules to provide a safe and accident-free aquatics environment.Administers CPR and first aid as necessary.Maintains records and reports.Performs daily pool maintenance including set-up and take down of pool equipment.Performs related work as required.
