Life Skills Specialist, Ifs

Hours available: Includes daytime, evening, & weekend shifts; no overnight shifts available. Cases may be combined to create full-time status
Meriden:

• Part-Time (20 hours): hours are flexible, must be available afternoons & weekends, eligible for vacation accruals
• Part-time (11.5 hours; combined with Middlefield position): must be available afternoon& weekends

EastHaven:

• Part-Time (18 hours): Mon-Fri only- 11:00am-2:00pm, flexible
• Part-Time (13 hours): Sat & Sun, flexible

Cheshire: Bachelor’s Degree required:

• Part-Time (8+ hours): hours are flexible, must have degree & previous experience with individuals with Autism and/or Neurodivergence.

Clinton:

• Part-Time (13 hours): Tues & Wed, flexible hours

Madison:

• Part-Time (8 hours): Tues & Thurs 3:30pm-7:30pm,

West Haven:
Part-Time (17.5 hours): Mon-Fri only- 11:00am-2:00pm, flexible

Position Info:

This is a full-time or part-time, hourly position. The Life Skills Specialist will report directly to the IFS Behaviorist. A great candidate must be able to work independently with families within the community. Immediate need!
Responsibilities:
The following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and possibly their families:

• Encourage building skills for independence
• Encourage and assist in increasing socialization
• Encourage and assist individuals with the pursuit of vocational opportunities
• Assist and provide opportunities for individuals to participate in recreational activities

Experience and Skill Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience working with individuals with Autism a must
• Must be familiar with positive behavior supports
• Must pass a variety of Background checks
• Must have a CT driver’s license

Must have a registered, insured vehicle which will pass a safety inspection in order to transport individuals in the community
