Job description

The Organizational Development Specialist is an exciting opportunity to join Guardian’s Organizational Effectiveness and Learning team and play an integral role in measuring and evaluating the impact of the culture transformation initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. This role is a great opportunity for a highly engaged leader with an interest in designing and implementing interventions that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
You will
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the employee life cycle; including, but not limited to, documenting existing processes and touchpoints, data collection and analysis, and co-creation of recommendations
  • Execute against employee survey strategy to include survey design, system configuration, training, reporting, data analysis and creating detailed action plans
  • Run enterprise-wide projects including the management of events and workshops
  • Conduct research on models and frameworks in support of organizational effectiveness and culture transformation
  • Leverage data insights to create narratives on the current state and proposed state of culture and organizational effectiveness
  • Deliver enterprise organizational effectiveness tools to support the business needs in partnership with COEs and HRTPs (may include assessments, change management, culture, collaboration, etc.)
  • Support the implementation and integration of values and supporting behaviors to drive desired culture transformation
  • Collaborate with communication, marketing, and change management partners in the communications of culture, people leader and employee initiatives and strategies such as Employee Appreciation Day, employer value proposition, voice of employee programs, etc.
You have
  • 5- 7 years’ experience in the execution and management of organizational effectiveness, culture and/or engagement strategies (programs, projects, or processes), or knowledge in the execution and management of large-scale HR programs within a learning, talent, or HR business partner role/function
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in organizational psychology, human resources, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Embodies cultural awareness and sensitivity, as well as the ability to adapt to different contexts and perspectives
  • Track record of instilling best practices and innovation into the HR function
  • Previous experience with employee engagement and listening (surveying, focus groups, etc.) is preferred
Business Acumen
  • Proven experience in staying on top of industry trends to modernize and improve employee experience
Data Judgment
  • Strong statistical analysis capabilities and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Tableau)
  • Ability to use data to monitor and analyze colleague satisfaction metrics to improve the employee experience
Strategic Thinking
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to align culture, associate engagement efforts, and develop culture programming that supports our business objectives.
  • Ability to aggregate and interpret external and internal business strategies and solutions and recommend customized solutions/best practices suitable for Guardian
Relationship Management/Collaboration
  • Strong communication skills with ability to clearly communicate concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view – often through facilitation, storytelling and use cases
  • Proven experience in driving change across cross-functional teams, negotiating, and influencing leaders and key stakeholders across levels
Talent Management
  • The ability to identify, support and execute activities of strategic value to the organization and meet employees' needs across the employee life cycle.
Agility
  • Use excellent judgment and adapt while working with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Natural degree of high curiosity and continual willingness to learn
  • Ability to solve complex problems with limited guidance/ direction
  • Experience in creating new and bespoke approaches to develop solutions and improve processes
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Location /Travel
Hybrid role: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH. Can work from any Guardian office located in Hudson Yards – NYC or Stamford, CT.

Salary Range
$99,190.00 - $162,955.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
