Job Description
Kansas Youth Soccer is the governing State Association body of all youth soccer in the state through US Youth Soccer. Registration numbers of over 25,000 plus youth players annually. Affiliate member of U.S. Soccer.
Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to help players develop personal skills and strategies for success.
- Assist players in setting and achieving goals both in soccer and in life.
- Teach and reinforce values such as teamwork, resilience, and leadership.
- Support and encourage players in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Collaborate with coaches to implement life skills training within the soccer program.
- Host workshops and seminars for players, coaches, and parents on topics such as time management, communication, and personal development.
- Serve as a trusted mentor and resource for players and their families, offering guidance and advice as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Life Coach, counselor, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of youth development and the challenges faced by young athletes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire individuals.
- Empathy and compassion, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
- Knowledge of soccer or experience in a youth sports environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the schedules of players and their families.
