Woolly Farms Foundation is seeking a part-time Job/Life Coach help provide adults with diverse needs and abilities the opportunity to reach their fullest potential by providing a supervised environment in which to strengthen independence, build relationships and grow.
QualificationsDuties/Responsibilities:
- Assists in programs and training by reinforcing instructions and providing behavioral examples in social, emotional, and functional skills adapted to the members
- Participates and assists in lesson planning and carrying out assigned tasks to reinforce instruction to members
- Participates in lesson and program planning, staff meetings, and conferences
- Supports the goals and objectives of Woolly Farms activities by assisting in preparing materials, obtaining required supplies or equipment.
- Actively works with members during activities and assists with clean-up after an activity and provides necessary supervision in such activities as field trips and outings.
- Reinforces training and/or instruction by assisting members in motor and perceptual skills and work training programs.
- Assist in job placement and job and work training transportation for the members.
- Interacts with members in their activities, encouraging performance, observing progress, and sharing observations with the Director of Woolly Farms
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Skills and experience in working with adults with diverse needs and abilities
- Positive team attitude and takes initiative in unassigned tasks
- Good organizational skills, problem solving skills, and administrative abilities
- Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work including some weekends
- Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics
- Knowledge of and the ability to comply with the state’s applicable laws and regulations
- Positive verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 40lbs.
Education and Experience:
- Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying.
- Prior experience working with adults with diverse needs at various age levels preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation and evidence of insurance
- Clean criminal background check and motor vehicle record
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds at a time
