Licensing Specialist

· Focuses on SAFE compliance enforcement and management

· Administers compliance to prevent potential fines and/or regulatory actions in all states

· Regularly review state laws and regulations for appropriate licensing requirements.

· Educates and informs Loan Originator’s of any requirements and processes when obtaining a new state license, renewing a license

· Maintain relationships with bond agencies, request new bonds, terminate bonds and increase or decrease a particular bond amount as required by state regulations.

· Search for cost efficient bond agencies that comply with state regulations

· Keep current on state bonding requirements

· Review requirements and due dates for renewal requirements for all states.

· Collect, complete and submit all required renewal documentation for particular states in advance of the due date.

· Keep efficient schedule for due dates of all annual, quarterly and monthly reporting requirements of the Secretary of State, financial institutions and all other applicable agencies

· Complete all reporting requirements timely to prevent potential fines and/or state regulatory actions

· Review websites for compliance

· Oversee HUD/FHA branch lender ID registration and termination

· Maintain VA/HUD/FHA individual login/password assignment and termination

· Maintain licensing information, publications, policies and spreadsheets in SharePoint.

· Communicate daily with all corporate and branch staff concerning all licensing questions and issues

· Assist Loan Originators with CE and Renewals annually

· Submit all of the Branch and Company renewals on the NMLS website

· Performs other duties as required and assigned

Job Specifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Compliance or a related field

· 2-3 years of experience in a position that required handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality

· Experience with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is preferred

· Mortgage Industry experience preferred
