Licensed Veterinary Technician

Miller Clark is a busy animal hospital looking to add 1-2 LVT's to our team. Currently under new managment the practice is looking to offer competitive salary and benefits to the right candidates. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Provide animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in handling dogs and other animals with care and compassion
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures
- Understanding of aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
- Experience in animal husbandry, including pet grooming and general pet care

Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
- Excellent attention to detail to accurately record information and perform tasks
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion and empathy towards animals and their owners
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during animal care

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
